# Gems

## **What are Gems?** 

Gems are earned by users when they participate in Streamdrop events that are hosted by creators live on Stream. When you claim your gems, you will also earn Experience Points (XP). Every user can only earn up to **5,000 gems** reward per day.

## **How to Earn Gems?** 

Fans can earn gems by actively engaging in StreamDrop events. To participate in a StreamDrop event, you may use the Explore page on the chrome extension to discover creators who are currently live. Alternatively, you can also refer your favorite creators to join Stream and hop on whenever they are live. <br>

## How to claim Gems?

For every StreamDrop that you participated in, you can claim your calculated gems rewards directly after each StreamDrop activation on the overlay. If you choose to skip or might have closed the space for whatever reason, you may still access the Activities page on the stream extension to claim your points on the "Unclaimed Gems" tab
